Just a day after they set up camp in Hampstead Heath Occupy London have been evicted from their Finsbury Square camp.
The group of protesters made Finsbury Square their second protest site (after St Paul’s Cathedral) back in February and since then have apparently caused £20,000 worth of damage to the green space.
Now in the latest move to get rid of the group from London sites authorities have moved in and erected metal gates around the groups tents forcing them to evacuate the area.
This is the second time Occupy London have been evicted from one of their camps however with all the time, effort and money that’s going into moving them on we’re beginning to wonder if it’s really worth it. As their move to Hampstead Heath shows they’ll always find somewhere else to set up camp so why not choose a designated area where they are allowed to protest peacefully and let them get on with it?
