Here in the WJ office we do love it when we stumble across a new trend and today we’re talking about pocket squares.
You may have noticed pocked squares creeping into your favourite brands collections recently and that’s because they’re going to be a huge trend for the rest of spring/summer and moving into autumn/winter 2012.
The idea is simple. Great a t-shirt or indeed shirt and bung a different colour of different pattern pocket on it. From Liberty print to plain colours they’re the easiest way to liven up a simple, everyday item.
Someone who’s doing them particularly well at the moment is Géométrick. For their pocket squares they’ve decided to take one big step forward and source vintage materials from Chanel, Hermes and other designer brands to make the pockets out of. Whether it be an old top or a silk scarf their designers then encourage the print into the design.
It’s genius stuff and you can check out some of their handiwork below.
