New to London this week is Russian restaurant Mari Vanna the sister of the super popular New York eatery which has been delighting diners for the past few years.
Named after a mythical grandmother type figure who invites those who are hungry into her house for a traditional Russian feast no matter what time of the day it is.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Mari Vanna can now be found in Knightsbridge and is kitted out like an old Russian ladies living room. Expect old fashioned Russian trinkets, wellies that are used as plant pots and a menu that you’ll probably only want to eat from if you’re treating yourself (aka it’s rather expensive).
Serving up traditional Russian fare like beef stroganoff, rye breads, blinis, dumplings and Russian salads Mari Vanna also serves up dishes with a side of vodka shots and boasts an extensive, if rather expensive, wine list.
Marni Vanna can now be found at 116 Knightsbridge, Wellington Court, SW1X 7PJ.
