Sometimes it’s just difficult to stay on top of the high street fashion gossip; what’s in, what’s out, sales, discounts, collaboration etc. Luckily for me I landed myself a part time job at Vogue House in the Conde Nast Worldwide News store, right around the corner from Oxford Street and I love it. If you need to know about high street fashion I’m your girl and this is your go to site.
My favourite recent development on the high street, is the opening of the Victoria’s Secrets London flagship store on Bond Street at the end of August. If you haven’t been yet you must, it is an absolutely beautiful building inside and out. Three floors for customers and the fourth floor invite only VIP suite, the building is filled with giant glass chandlers, pink furnishing and a grand staircase (very girly)!
Although intimidating at the first approach towards this extravagant store, you are welcomed from the moment you walk in, surrounded by true luxury!
Victoria’s Secrets is not the only new store to open in the recent months, Primark has also opened up by Tottenham Court Road station. A little less classy but just as exciting, it is huge, I got lost inside there myself! Four floors filled with bargains. I have always been quite reluctant to step into the Primark by Marble Arch station as it is so busy, I’m more likely to be trampled on then find anything, but fingers crossed this second store will help that problem! Especially since they have some really stunning pieces for Autumn/Winter and it is time to start coat shopping. This cute beige coat below is only £35 and perfect for the working women.
For the more casual look they have this amazing parka coat above for £25. Now you can’t argue with that. You can buy a new coat every year and not feel too guilty about it with buys like this. If you need a new winter wardrobe a trip to Primark is highly recommended.
These two must visit new stores are the first of many need to know high street trends. Keep posted!
