Folk rockers Mumford & Sons are to put on not one, but two festivals this Summer it has been announced this morning.
Mumford & Sons are currently locked in the studio working on the follow up to their debut album Sigh No More but have found time to get their planning hats on and will now be putting on two of their own festivals. The first festival will be in Huddersfield on 2nd June and the second will take place a week later in Galway, Ireland on 9th June.
Already lined up to play both events are The Vaccines, Willy Mason and The Correspondants with Mumford & Sons headlining both events.
As if that wasn’t enough to keep them busy the band are also planning to do a number of small gigs around the UK in June to debut new material and see how it sits with their fans.
Speaking about what we can expect from the festivals Marcus Mumford explained, ‘The tour is based loosely on our favourite festivals. We want to stop off in towns not usually heavily toured by bands and celebrate their people, food and music.’
We look forward to hearing more…
