Among all the rumours of who will play who in the second film adaption of the novels by Suzanne Collins there’s been some solid news that Sam Claflin has accepted the role of Finnick Odair.

Despite rumours that none other than Robert Pattinson was meant to be taking on the role of Katniss and Peta’s alie in the Quarter Quell the role has now officially been offered to young actor.

If you’re reading this thinking that you recognise Claflin’s face that’s probably because he starred in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and more recently Snow White and the Huntsman. Although he’s a relative newcomer he’s certainly earned his stripped alongside some massive A-list acting names so no doubt he’ll pull of this role brilliantly.
