During the week we told you about how Chris O’Dowd had signed on for a role opposite Nick Frost in new film Cuban Fury and today we have some more details about the film.
What we knew already was that Frost and O’Dowd would play rival salsa dancers who are forced to confront each other years after Frost’s character put an end to O’Dowd’s career as they both attempt to revive what they once had.
Today we’ve learned a bit more about the plot as well as hearing news that they’ve also bagged Social Network actress Rashida Jones.
The new synopsis begins, ‘Beneath Bruce Garrett’s shabby, overweight exterior the passionate beating heart of a salsa king lays dormant.’ It then goes on to tell how Garrett’s (played by Frost) fire can only be re-ignited by one woman (we’re guessing Jones). It also gives us a hint towards the films name stating simple, ‘Nick Frost IS Cuban Fury’.
We also know that there will be a love triangle involved Frost and O’Dowd’s characters which sounds like it could add a little something to proceedings.
