Let Me In and Cloverfield director, Matt Reeves is set to direct The Passage, an adaptation of a Justin Cronin novel.
The Passage has been a long time coming with Fox aquiring rights to it in 2007, two years before the novel was even published. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world one hundred years in the future where many of the humans have been mutated in to vampires by a ‘health boosting drug’. The story line takes on a kind of 28 Days Later and I Am Legend slant with surviving humans trying their best to avoid meeting a similar fate.
At the moment there’s no start date on filming or cast news but Reeves is currently over seeing a rewrite of the script so we imagine it wont be too long before the cameras starts rolling.
