Matador Records is launching Singles Going Home Alone club, a subscription series due to start in the new year.
Matador Records will release rare and exclusive tracks from a number of their artists on 7″ s.
The first is available January 17th and is a split single featuring an unlikely duo of Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks and 80′s glam-metal godfathers L.A. Guns. The single features Malkmus and his band covering L.A. Guns’ track, Wheels of Fire and The Guns covering Malkmus’ Gorgeous George.
Then the second 7″ is out on March 20th featuring OBN III’s and the third comes out on May 22nd, and features The Men.
The full series will work out as six singles over 2012 and you can get a subscription that will cost you between $45-$70 depending on where you live.
