Last Thursday WJ went along to do something we haven’t done for many, many years… explore The Science Museum courtesy of MasterCard Priceless.
In cities all over the world MasterCard offer their users free exclusive access to events, venues and upgrades as a little thanks for using their services. If you live in London one of the options you have access to is an exclusive night of free drinks, food and exploring at some of London’s most famous galleries and museums.
On our visit to The Science Museum we were greeted with a champagne cocktail and canapes before being broken into teams of 20. Each team was then led around the museum to try out a number of experiments with a little guidance from the museums staff. In a move that wouldn’t have been out of place on a school trip we tried to create waves using various frequencies, transported grains on a pulley system and measured how high we could jump before settle down for a lesson on what makes a rocket work.
Later that night we were treated to a sit down meal and a few glasses of wine before heading off to the museums Imax cinema for a very educational film screening.
The event rounded off about 11pm and even on the walk to the tube station home we could still hear people behind us buzzing about their rather sophisticated night out.
The MasterCard Priceless nights offer the perfect opportunity to get a bit of VIP treatment from some of London’s best events and venues and the best bit is because places are numbered it’s a fairly intimate experience.
If you’re a MasterCard holder all you have to do is head to their Priceless website and register yourself for offers but remember it’s first come, first served so you’ll need to be quick.
