Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and here at the WJ offices we love nothing more than crumpet or bit of eggs benedict to start the day.
With this in mind we wanted to put together some of our favourite places to have breakfast in London, our Breakfast hotspots.
Tom’s Deli : A little on the expensive side as some of our Facebook followers have commented but what do you expect from a deli in Westbourne Grove. The one thing about this full English is that it might be £12 but it tastes like it’s £12.
SOS (Smiths Of Smithfield) : Coming in as more reasonable on the price front for a bowl of porridge (£3 rather than £7) is SOS. There are 6 options for an all day breakfast that range from £6 to £11 and the atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant with large wooden tables and plenty of papers.
The Albion Caff : Spelt like that on purpose as that’s how they spell it the Albion Caff is just behind Shoreditch High Street and offers a very English breakfast. Highlights are Kidneys or Kippers on toast or of course the Albion Breakfast (Bacon, sausage, black pudding, baked beans, grilled tomato, mushrooms, choice of eggs, toast) that comes in at a tenner.
Le Pain, Great Marlborough Street : There are many Le Pain’s in London but this is our favourite. All buttery warm inside and serving a great porridge Le Pain is a healthy breakfast option with hearty bowls of fruit and organic muesli on the menu.
