Labour’s London mayor hopeful Ken Livingstone has today launched his manifesto with an online calculator that shows you how much you’ll save if he’s elected.
Joined by Labour leader Ed Milliband this morning Livingstone announced plans to cut rent and fares which will apparently save everyone £1000 if he’s elected during the elections on 3rd May.
Knowing that we’re all fretting about money at the moment Livingstone cashed in on our worries by speaking about how his policies will save us money on bills, childcare costs, education, fares and rent if he is named the Mayor of London once again.
However his closest competition current London Mayor, Boris Johnson was quick to argue back saying that the plans would lead to a rise in council tax saying Livingstone was ‘making promises he cannot keep’.
