Hollywood do it all James Franco has directed the video for R.E.M. track “Blue” featuring an interesting performance from headline grabber Lindsay Lohan.
Lohan can be seen on set posing and pouting for hipster photographer Terry Richardson whilst Franco also stars in drag.
It’s hard to fully consider what is going on here or perhaps what Franco is attempting to imply, so we’ll leave those decisions up to you…
Michael Stipe, R.E.M’s frontman asked various film makers to create shorts for each track from final LP Collapse into Now and Franco signed up for two.
“Blue” was a track taken from R.E.M.‘s fifteenth and final album after the group disbanded in late 2011.
