Well well well, things were a little too quiet on the Somerset House grounds yesterday with barely a photographer’s flashbulb in sight, but I can reveal to you the reason behind the (probably) hand woven, Swarovski entwined tumbleweed passing along the cobble stones. Why be on the grounds when you can be in the presence of social demi-Gods in the BFC Showspace for Burberry Proprsum, the undeniable hot ticket of the day.
With Burberry Body babe Rosie Huntington-Whiteley representing the brand in an orange Burberry Resort leather trench and Sienna Miller plonking herself on the FROW, the Burberry collection could have come and gone whilst the spectators simple scanned the crowds for a familiar face. This theme continued at the Christopher Kane show where Anna Wintour and Kanye West caused quite the photographic frenzy before Kanye (again, probably) declared the show the greatest of all time.
Elsewhere in London was Pringle of Scotland ambassador Tilda Swinton. She made her obligatory front row appearance on Monday looking typically casual in a navy and yellow jumper whilst supermodel made her way to the Eurostar Terminal for Topshop Unique. Oh yes, the shows can take place anywhere and everywhere as seen by Vivienne Westwood had Pamela Anderson slow motion running towards the Spitalfields Market and Mathew Williamson attracting the likes of Kate Moss at the Tate Modern.
With a full day ahead of us all, I’m sure there’s lots more to report from the grounds.
Until next time…
Miss C. x
