Previewing their AW 12 collection at The Freemason’s Hall this evening was design duo Leutton Postle. An imaginative, playful range crafted through a range of interesting and diverse materials.
Displaying a range of techniques and effects, knitwear was common upon the catwalk, with extra eye-catching details thrown in to the look. Detailed edges made up of tiny pom-poms, metallic patchworks woven into garments and tasselled finishes all made appearances throughout the collection.
Other stand out pieces included face motifs woven onto dresses, high textured cardigans and bold patterned trousers. Forming an interesting contrast, colours were neutral earthy tones blended under a variety of bright primaries and vibrant metallics creating a conflict of shades.
Perfecting this collection of colour and play were a creation of unusual headwear masking the models faces and intense make-up by The Body Shop; adding to the fun vibe of these items.
