We started day 5 with another amazing show. This time it was David Koma who got us all hot and bothered with his greyhound motif shoes and knit that we desperately want in our wardrobes. Unfortunately David Koma was possibly a little too early for his celeb following as we couldn’t spot many on the frow. Secretly, we had hoped Cheryl Cole might have popped up as she brought Koma’s designs on to our television screens, all those moons ago, on x-factor. Alas we were left to marvel in the neoprene excellence of David Koma’s AW 12 collection.
Next was Holly Fulton and wow did she deliver. We were already very excited for her Empire State building inspired prints and gorgeous coquette shift dresses and this season Fulton took it one step further, into a more grown up style. Who’s Jack strongly agreed with this maturing and flowering of this designer, which is ironic as Lady Chatterley’s green house garden was sighted as an inspiration.
Ashish brought the house down again with the amazing amount of sequins used in this season’s collection.
We sauntered off to the Mayfair Hotel for a quick cocktail and to peruse The Rodnik Band where we pondered on the pop art sequinned dresses and what on earth was on top of those cakes?
The end of the day was in sight we just had to get through FAD, which showcased 10 designers, with films, of course we loved it. We can’t quite believe it’s almost all over, we can only imagine what the next season will bring.
