Located in the Canon Cinema, three designers showcased their Spring/Summer designs using brilliantly crafted films.
Cristina Sabaiduc’s innovative 3D presentation featured a softly lit film and a juxtaposition of materials to create pieces that are not only clothes, but works of art.
Jayne Pierson’s film, entitled ‘Brave’ featured Miranda, a protagonist who was on a dreamlike journey that featured herself in the present as well as herself as a child. Jayne Pierson’s Spring/Summer collection freatures a mainly white pallette, with a hint of indigo in places. Her pieces feature geometrice cut out shapes, catching and drawing in the eye. Highlights include a white high waisted skirt with geopmetric cut out shapes down the sides and an in imposing floor length dress with circular cut out shapes and a geometric cut out high neckline in indigo, adding volume to the drama of the dress.

Martina Spetlova’s Spring/Summer presentation took inspiration from the microscopic view, and featured greens, reds and violets and a collage of designs. Spring/Summer for Spetlova has pleated dresses in rich fabrics and deep colours, and with hints of the Orient in the design and detailing. Her collection also has colourful structured woven leather jackets, a different take on Spring/Summer.
