Lana Del Rey Covers Kasabian

Lana Del Rey has covered Kasabian’s track Goodbye Kiss as part of a Radio 1 Live Lounge session.

Del Rey was performing live for BBC Radio 1′s regular Live Lounge feature and as well as covering Kasabian’s most recent single she also performed her own hit, Video Games.

Speaking during an interview with the radio shows presenter Fearne Cotton Del Rey told her that she was covering the track as a kind of thanks to Kasabian for previously covering Video Games. She told Cotton, ‘ really loved it when they covered ‘Video Games’, I thought that was great.’ Before going on to add, ‘All of my boyfriends had loved Kasabian and I’d never listened to them. I started and I really like this song. I love this song and I love the melody, I love the way the boys sing it.’

Despite criticism for her live capabilities Del Rey is determined to prove the critics wrong by performing at a number of the Summer’s festivals including Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend and Isle of Wight festival.
