A new Tiki-inspired bar called Kona Kai has opened this week in Chelsea offering an exciting sounding alternative for those who live and work in the area.
Described as being a ‘Polynesian paradise’ we’re tipping Kona Kai as the newest ‘must visit’ place to head in Chelsea to if you’re in the market for a cocktail.
With all the miserable weather at the moment we’re long over due some sun and if we can’t get it outside then Kona Kai is offering the ideal place to get it inside. With bamboo decking, palm trees, fish lanterns, a wooden carved canoe hung from the ceiling and bar staff dressed in Hawaiian shirts it sounds like they’ve really gone to a big effort to create an environment that will help you forget, if only for a few hours, how miserable it is outside.
The drinks menu boasts a selection of South Pacific themed, rum based cocktails while there’s also a food menu which offers dishes such as Honey and Smoked Bacon Skewers, New Zealand Green Shell Mussels in Lime Red Curry and The Kona Kai Sharing Platter.
We haven’t had a chance to go down and check it out yet but you can put your last pound that we will be popping in very, very soon.
Kona Kai can be found at 515 Fulham Road, London, SW6 1HD.
