Here’s some good news for this otherwise very dull Wednesday morning, Klaxons are giving away a brand new mixtape for free.
Entitled The Interzone Mix the mixtape is band up of bands and artists that are currently inspiring the London indie rockers including names such as Glenn Branca, Parliament and the composer David Axelrod. You can download your copy over on Disinformation.
It’s been a while since we heard from Klaxons who released their last album Surfing the Void back in 2010 but we’ve been reassured that they’re back in the studio working on some new material. And if the rumours that their working with James Murphy (of LCD Soundsystem fame) and The Chemical Brothers are to be believed we reckon their next offering could be something to really look forward to.
However it’s not all good news. If you were hoping to see these guys live any time soon you’ll probably be disappointed. They’ve cancelled a number of live gigs in favour of locking themselves away to work on the new material so wont be out on the road any time soon. But as they say, good things come to those who wait…
