Kevin Appel is an LA based artist who has been catching our eye recently for his semi-abstract paintings of slightly see-through triangles, squares, rectangles and stripes which hide hidden images in his work.
Having exhibited in LA, New York, Zurich, Denmark and London’s very own South London Gallery Kevin Appel’s mystical pictures really make us stop and stare to try and work out what pictures lay underneath the different layers. From Modernist furniture and interiors to animals the slightly 50s inspired art works take every day things and make them beautiful. Check out our favourite pieces above.
