With just 100 days to go until the 2012 Mayoral elections in London Ken Livingstone is sitting happily ahead of current mayor Boris Johnson in the latest set of polls.

With both candidates stepping up a notch over the past few months making promises about everything from London transport to funding and benefits for Londoners a poll by London newspaper the Evening Standard puts Livingstone two points ahead of Johnson. While the jury is still out for some of us it seems like the gap between the two is getting ever closer so they’re both going to have to work twice as hard to win votes before the polling stations open on 3rd May.
