5 Minutes To Live, a heist film about two men that rob a bank by keeping the wife of the bank clerk hostage whilst asking him to transfer money to a named account.
5 Minutes To Live was the first major film for Johnny Cash and now Jan De Bont will direct the remake. Jan De Bont is responsible for films such as Die Hard and Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.
The original 5 Minutes To Live was released in 1961 and the script for the new version was written by Raul Inglis. It sounds pretty much the same as the original ‘two men as they execute a terrifying bank robbery. One guys holds the bank manager’s wife hostage and the other tells the manager she’ll be killed in five minutes unless he transfers money to an account of their choosing.’
