The iTunes festival is one of the biggest musical events to hit London year on year and now we can reveal the line up for this year’s string of gigs.
Jack White, Usher, Norah Jones and boyband One Direction are the first batch of artists to be announced for the gigs that will take place at Camden’s Roundhouse venue throughout September.
The iTunes festival was first held in 2007 and has gone on to pull in some of the biggest names in music including Coldplay, Adele, Foo Fighters and Noah and the Whale and if the first batch of acts for the 2012 festival are anything to go by this year wont disappoint.
White himself if a big enough pull to get us registering for the free tickets which are allocated via a ballot. His recent London shows were a complete sell out and he’s already at the top of our list of acts to catch live this summer.
The iTunes festival takes place between 1st – 30th September so hopefully we’ll get news of more acts within the coming weeks. In the mean time we’ve made ourselves a bit of a wish list of who we’d like to see added to the bill they include:
Black Keys, for a bit of old fashioned rock n roll.
Lianne la Havas, because as we’ve been telling you for a while now she deserves to headline her own gig rather than supporting others.
The Libertines, this last one is probably wishful thinking but oh how we’d love to see the North London band reformed and back on stage together again.
