After it’s been brought out by Facebook fans of Instagram have been left worried that the hipster app will become too commercialised. So for those of you that fall into that category we think we’ve found a good alternative.

The app in question is known as the Poly Photo app and it allows you to transform your pictures into polygonal, cubist style images. Designed by the famed developer Jean-Christophe Naour the Poly app aims to make images look like they are going ‘beyond’ the screen in a similar way to a 3D image without the need for the weird looking glasses.

The idea behind the map was based on a complicated mathematical theory called Delaunay Triangulation which is far to complicated for us to understand let alone explain to you however the results are rather cool and could be an excellent time waster for those of you that are already a bit bored of Instagram.
