Computer scientists at University College London lead by Patrick Bergel, have developed a new and ingenious way of sending information between internet enabled devices, such as phones, using a sound they call ‘chirping’.
Chirping allows for the immediate receipt of images web links and contacts, and may be used in the future to share coupons, tickets, and even money. By downloading the Chirp app, links can be sent from one phone to another via Chirping. The Chirp app is simple to use and easy to activate and is effective even in noisy environments like the pub or a busy street.
To chirp or not to chirp, that is the question? It’s free to download so give it a go!
