Fans of Iron Man can have nerdy fun scrutinising the 17 second teaser trailer for the third live action film, which has appeared online for the first time.

What can we deduce from the clip? Well, Robert Downey Jr‘s Tony Stark is back in the limelight, a man with a ponytail is probably the protagonist and Gwyneth Paltrow‘s preposterously named Pepper Potts is in some kind of trouble. It looks like she’s stuck in a rollercoaster harness, but it’s likely that the plot is a bit more exciting than ‘Iron Man saves girlfriend from badly maintained theme park ride’.

Check back later in the week when the first full trailer should be available. Iron Man 3 will be out in the UK next April and fans of action and authorship can rejoice as Lethal Weapon creator Shane Black is writing and directing in place of Jon Favreau.
