Evermade are a new online retailer who felt that Banksy and “Keep Calm…’ prints have lost their lustre, and so have set about commissioning pieces from new, independent designers. This month saw the launch of ’ The London Collection’ by illustrator Jenni Sparks, the star print being a hand drawn map of London. From £20 onwards, it’s surely a better way to keep up with all patriotism this year than union jacks and royal mugs on mugs?
Our other favourite new designers that Evermade are touting are :
Sam Bevington who has made the print No Guts No Glory as a limited edition of 10. Sams work is bright and includes illustration, type and movies. Sam has a first class honours inillustration and lives in a warehouse in east London where he enjoys tea and cigarettes.
Salty Jon who is a freelance illustrator and has a print up at Everlast called Out Of His League Part 2 featuring a diver being circled by the shadows of sharks. Salty Jons work is fairly sea based in nature and somehow both details and sparse at the same time. Some great illustration.
