Here’s an interesting one for you. The new trailer for Hysteria, a new period-drama film about the invention of the vibrator.
Starring Rupert Everett, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Felicity Jones, Jonathan Pryce and Hugh Dancy Hysteria is the first film in a decade by director Tanya Wexler and tells the story about the invention that ‘turned on half the world’.
Pryce and Dancy play two doctors Robert Dalrymple and Mortimer Granville who specialise in women’s nervous and emotional issues and at the time of the film they are trying to find a cure for hysteria. During a happy coincidence Granville invents the prototype ‘feather duster’ which ends up being a real crowd pleaser with women.
At the moment we don’t have an official release date for the UK but Hysteria is expected to be released in either May or June. Check out the trailer above.
