Oh dear things are going from good to bad really quickly for Lana Del Rey as she’s describe as hitting ‘rock bottom’ after posing naked for men’s magazine GQ.
The photo shoot, which we showed you yesterday, featured Del Rey completely naked on the cover and in various states of undress on the inside and was shot to celebrate the singer being named GQ’s Woman of the Year.
However if the Video Games singer was hoping for a big thumbs up from everyone for being so brave as to let a middle aged man grope her breast for the shoot she’s going to be left disappointed. That’s because a barrage of criticism has been flooding internet and social network communities since the images were release with some saying that this is proof that she’s clutching at straws to get attention.
An online magazine called Jezebel described the shoot as ‘internalized sexism’ after GQ featured a number of male stars including Tinie Tempah and James Cordon on joint covers fully dressed.
Meanwhile others see this as yet another ploy for the singer to gain column inches ahead of the re-release of her album Born to Die.
Whatever the reasons her decision to strip off we do agree that the shoot seems just a little desperate. Perhaps it’s time for less of the try hard shoots and more time working on some new material eh Lana?
