TfL have today announced that the Hammersmith Flyover is to be shut once again later this month.
If you’re a Hammersmith resident or you regularly use the Hammersmith Flyover to get to and from work you’ll remember all the disruption that was caused when it was shut in December. Well now there’s due to be another two days of chaos as TfL announced that the flyover would need to be shut to the public on 22nd and 29th April.
The flyover is shutting so that workmen can fit cables below and above the bridge deck but thankfully is being done on Sunday’s to avoid any major disruption.
The flyover was originally shut after a secret source revealed that the flyover was unsafe for usage. It was later opened but with just one lane of traffic allowed. You can read more about what happened right here.
