After we reported that it had been leaked that the Hammersmith Flyover was unsafe to drive over Transport for London has today taken the decision to close the flyover due to a ‘serious structural defect’.

TfL’s have spoken about internal cables which keep the spans in place being unsteady and after an inspection last night immediate closure was put into action due to technical problems.
