It’s one of the most anticipated films of the year for music lovers and now the first trailer for Greetings From Tim Buckley has been released and you can check it out above.

The film tells the true story of the gig that turned Jeff Buckley’s world on its head and made the singer a house hold name. That gig was a tribute concert to his late father Tim Buckley at St. Ann’s Church in 1991.

While this trailer is nothing ground breaking, if anything it’s a tad predictable, one thing that stands out is the talent of Penn Badgley the actor who is playing Jeff. Some of you may recognise Badgley from the TV show about the over privileged Gossip Girl, an odd choice if you want to go on acting credibility however it looks like he’s going to be great in the role particularly when it comes to singing because boy does this actor have a voice on him.

Also starring Imogen Poots Greetings From Tim Buckley should be released later this year.
