If you’re anything like us you’ll rely on Google Maps to get you from A to B and back again and now they’ve bettered themselves yet again by adding a live tube update function.

Just a few months after Google Maps launched London Transport directions they now added live departure updates for every tube on the London Underground system. When looking at the map all you need to do is click on the station and it’ll pop up with times and destinations for the next few trains. Probably more helpfully it’ll also display information about delays and signal failures so you know what the journey ahead will hold for you rather than getting any nasty surprises so you can make an educated choice to stay in bed rather than rushing to stand on a packed platform.
