Is it too early to start talking about Christmas events? We think not and as all our local shops seem to be well-stocked with mince pies we’re jumping on the bandwagon of all things festive.
Now Canary Wharf might be somewhere best reserved for bankers and city workers, but for a short time over the festive season it’s also host to a pretty amazing ice rink.
It’s located under the towering buildings of Canada Square and is an 800 meter squared rink (pretty standard) with a skate path so you can slide through a glittering trail under trees lit by fairy lights.
After all the exercise, there’s a pop up Boisdale on Ice Bar serving up burgers, haggis sausage rolls and of course mince pies along with mulled wine and hot chocolate.
Although it’s a little further afield and less well known than the likes of Somerset house, it’s probably going to be quieter and there’s also quite a few nice restaurants to warm up in afterwards.
You can get your skates on (sorry) from the 3 November until 13 January and you can pre book on the website.
