There were high hopes for the first Girl With The Dragon Tattoo when it was released last month and despite not doing as well as expected at the Box Office Sony Pictures have announced they will be going ahead with the films two sequels.
The two new films will be based on the last two books in the Stieg Larsson’s Millennium trilogy in English adaptions of the books. The news comes despite rumours that the films producers wouldn’t go ahead with any films and according to reports the script for The Girl Who Played With Fire has already been written while the script for The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest is currently being worked on.
There’s no word yet on release dates but presumably they’ll be looking to get the next one out at the end of this year or the beginning of 2013.
