Move over cupcakes, it’s all about the Choux Bun. The newest cake of the moment to hit luxury patisseries is this small round and perfectly flavoured French sweet thing.

Selfridges has just introduced a whole new range of the things (above) that are made with fresh cream, fine roasted nuts and French chocolate. We predict that these will be the newest must have in miniature form at every Fashion Week after event and general canape-ed party in just a few weeks time so you can say goodbye to the macaroons too.

The Choux buns really do taste as good as they look. If you want to try one then we suggest you head on down to Selfridges whose Choux bun offering is handmade in London by their Cordon Bleu trained macaron chef. They come in 6 flavours, including Raspberry & Rose, White Chocolate and Lemon Drizzle. Truly scrumptious! £2 each.
