Instead of waiting until the New Year to start a new hobby or talent, head down to Craft Central now and turn your hand at something creative, be it printing, making a fascinator or even a Christmas stocking.
That’s right there are classes available for just about anything you can imagine and they’re all handily located on St John’s Square in Clerkenwell.
Now, I know across London there are craft workshops going on pretty much every day of the week but the best thing about these are they’re really good value for money and include complimentary wine.
The next one you can go to is a ‘Printing Made Fun’ workshop at 6pm on 31 October. In the class you’ll be guided by screen printer and surface pattern designer Laura Felicity and screen printer Lucie Pritchard.
Don’t panic, you don’t need to have any skills beforehand and the class will take you back to basics with fun printing techniques where you’ll be able to make your own design printed into a handmade greetings card.
There’s also a ‘Make a Fascinator’ class on the 14th November where the award winning milliner Katherine Elizabeth will share her experiences of making designs for the likes of Alexa Chung, Lilly Allen and Fern Cotton before helping you create your own.
Each of these classes are £19.99 (including materials) and you can book these and others through the website.
