Here’s some good news for all of you who have been enjoying the free wifi at London tube stations. It’s due to stay until the end of the year.
The wifi, which is powered by Virgin Media, was fitted at 80 London stations at the beginning of the summer to improve connectivity during the Olympic Games.
The original plan was that the wifi was going to stay free until October unless you were a Virgin Media customer and then it’d be free forever however today Virgin have announced that we can keep using it without charge until the end of 2012.
It’ll be great news for all of those who like to stay on Facebook for those few precious extra minutes before your tube arrives.
