Tim Burton’s new animated adventure Frankenweenie has been given a new trailer and you can check it out above.

Dark, animated films tends to be what Burton does best and really Frankenweenie needs to be a Box Office success for the directors sake as much as anyone else’s. Burton’s last release Dark Shadows started promisingly but when it was finally released failed to impress or make any lasting impression on cinema audiences or reviewers so he’ll no doubt be keeping everything crossed that Frankenweenie does better.

Due for release on 17th October the film tells the story of a young boy who’s dog suddenly passes away. Inspired by the story of Frankenstein the child goes on an adventure to try and bring his pooch back from the dead.
