After two days of waking up to a grey, foggy London I’m not in the best of moods. But I would be feeling a whole lot worst if I’d been stuck at one of London’s airports unable to fly.
This morning hundreds of travellers were again left abandoned at airports in the city because of poor visibility.
At London City Airport 80 flights are reported to have been cancelled while at Heathrow it was 49.
The situation has also been made worse as there is currently industrial action taking place by French air traffic control teams. This means there’s no window to delay flights and many were cancelled instead.
If you’re set to board a flight the advice is to check directly with your airline before you set off.
It needs to let you know if the flight is still running and if it is then cancelled it should tell you how to go about claiming the money back for the cancelled flight, if you’re able to.
The good news is the weather is supposed to be improving as the week goes on, well it’s going to be more sunny anyway but stick an extra layer on as it’s also falling to single-digit temperatures as we head into November.
