It’s been over a year since Foals released their last album, Total Life Forever and we have to say we’ve missed them. Now they’re back to put out a new mix CD.
Before all you Foals fans out there get too excited and think you’re getting any new material from the Oxford five piece you’re not but what you are getting is an album full of the bands favourite songs.
Entitled Foals Tapes the album has been inspired by the music and acts that the band have listened together over the past five years. Back in the day the band used to drive themselves to gigs in an old Royal Mail van and this album is made up of the songs that they would listen to together on compilation cassette tapes that they made for the journeys.
Among the many, many songs on the album are tracks by The Invisible, Blood Orange, Cerrone, Marshall Jefferson vs. Noosa Heads and Caribou.
Foals Tapes is released on 2nd July.
