Florence and the Machine have teamed up with Queen’s of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme to sing a duet and you can check it out below.
The track is a cover of Jerry Leiber and Billy Edd Wheeler’s song Jackson which was made famous by Jonny Cash and June Carter. The song was performed for Florence and the Machine’s up coming MTV Unplugged album which is due to be released in April.
The performance took place back in December in New York when the band were accompanied by a 10-person gospel choir to record some of their biggest hits and a few surprises for the new album. As well as some of the bands biggest hits including Dog Days Are Over and Shake It Out the album will include a cover of Otis Redding’s Try A Little Tenderness as well as this duet with Homme.
The track listing for MTV Unplugged looks like this:
‘Only If For A Night’
‘Drumming Song’
‘Cosmic Love’
‘Breaking Down’
‘Never Let Me Go’
‘Try A Little Tenderness’
‘No Light No Light’
‘Jackson’
‘What The Water Gave Me’
