The Lord of the Rings: The Return Of The King, 8pm, Channel 4: If you haven’t seen the first Lord of the Rings films then you might be a bit lost with this one as Return of the Kings is based on the second and third volumes of the best selling book. Starring Elijah Wood and directed by Peter Jackson you should settle down to watch it if you like films that encourage your imagination to run wild.

Notting Hill, ITV2, 9pm: It’s cheesy but still a great, great film. Hugh Grant plays a bumbling British book shop owner while Julia Roberts plays an A-list actress who ends up falling for him. Watch this if you’re looking for something to help you through a hangover.

Zoolander, 9pm E4: The 2001 released film remains one of our favourite films even (even though it stars Ben Stiller who we usually can’t stand). Stiller plays a highly successful model who is brainwashed into killing the president.
