Making the most of the long weekend and staying in tonight but looking for some entertainment? Look no further than these three films which are all playing on TV tonight.

We Own The Night, ITV, 10.35pm: Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Eva Mendes the title of this film is based on an old motto used by New York police during the 80’s. Set in a crime riddled Brooklyn this film tells the story of a father and two songs who find themselves fighting on different sides in a very bloody gang war. Also starring Mark Wahlberg this is a lesser known film that any film lover will really enjoy.

Vicky Christina Barcelona, More4, 9pm: On a slightly more casual note we have Woody Allen’s Vicky Christina Barcelona. Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall and Penélope Cruz star in this romantic drama about two friends (one of whom is engaged) who both fall for the same charming artist while on holiday in Spain.

Die Hard 2, E4, 9pm: Don’t worry if you haven’t seen the first Die Hard film, we hardly imagine it’s going to cause you any real problems here. Taking place on Christmas Eve and starring Bruce Willis and Bonnie Bedelia the film tells how Detective John McClane becomes involved in a dangerous mission against a bunch of terrorists while he waits in an airport for his wives plane to land. Expect lots of gun shots and some classic Willis death stares from this one.
