Camden Road is closed tonight and if you are wondering why it looks to be that a sign fell off the betting shop and very sadly onto someone causing a fatality.

Police have confirmed that a young man has died in hospital after a William Hill betting shop sign fell on him in Camden Road.

The William Hill shop is right next to the big Sainsburies on a busy part of the road that leads from Camden Town Tube through to Camden Road Overground.

The wind probably didn’t help an unsecured sign over the shop. Our thoughts go out to his friends and family this evening.

Travel will be held up in the area for a while.
