Ever fancied a cheeky look at what goes on behind the scenes at the House of Parliament? Well these new Art and Architecture in Parliament tours are offering you the chance to do just that.
The first tour comes in the shape of the Royalty and Splendour in the House of Commons tour which costs £30 for 75 minutes. On the tour you’ll see paintings, portraits and all the architecture of the upper chamber. The tours are due to take place on selected Friday evenings throughout the Spring and Summer.
The second tour is the Contemporary Portraiture in Portcullis House which shows you around the modern neighbourhood of the House of Parliament. You’ll see the art collection of past and present politicians as well as the art within its gothic fortress. The tours will run four times a day on Friday’s in the Spring and Summer and will set you back £15.
