French-Moroccan model Zahia Dehar showed her new A/W12-13 lingerie collection at Paris Haute Couture Week yesterday.

Models emerged from giant pink cupcakes on the catwalk, wearing suitably sugary frosted lace creations in shades of cream and pink. Daring sheer bodysuits also made an appearance, complete with strategically-placed ruffles and crystals.

The finale of the show was Dehar herself, stepping out of a Barbie-esque box dressed in embellished white bridal lace.

The collection has raised eyebrows for more than their revealing designs alone. Back in 2010, ex-underage escort Dehar was at the centre of a scandal that rocked the sporting world, as it was revealed that she had slept with a number of high-profile French footballers for money.

However, she has since found a much more wholesome occupation as a model/designer, with fashion greats like Karl Lagerfeld pledging their support of her new fashion ventures. Well-known French actors Béatrice Dalle and Emmanuelle Béart were also present at the show, cementing her transformation from Diamond Dog to Catwalk Triumph.

And let’s face it – if your second-ever collection is showing at Couture Week, you ain’t doing badly.
