When the Dumb and Dumber sequel was confirmed kids of the 90′s every raised a glass in excitement but today we have confirmation that the film has been cancelled.

While the exact reasons haven’t been revealed it’s thought that it’s due to Jim Carrey pulling out of filming because he felt the film studio wasn’t giving the film the love and attention he felt it deserved.

We have to say, as much as we were looking forward to seeing what directors the Farrelly Brothers came up with for the follow up we can’t say we’re all that surprised this has happened.

While Dumb and Dumber had it’s place at the time if it was released today it probably wouldn’t go down as well as it did originally. And we really can’t imagine how they’d have moved the story forward and make it suitable for a modern day audience so perhaps it’s best left as a, very, distant memory from our teen years eh?
