It’s been on and off again more times than most people’s shower taps but now one of the films stars has confirmed that Dumb and Dumber 2 is most definitely back on.

It was rumoured a few months ago that his co-star Jim Carrey had apparently pulled out of filming blaming a lack of enthusiasm from the films makers and studio. Of course the film could go ahead without one half of the main characters and so it was decided the film wouldn’t go ahead.

Now Daniels has revealed in an interview that a script is currently being worked on and that filming will commence once that’s finished and everyone’s happy with it.

The film will be joining a long list of remakes and sequels being worked on this year including Top Gun 2, Finding Nemo 2, The Shining and Hocus Pocus 2.

Although this will come as good news to fans of the original 1994 comedy we’re just not so convinced a sequel is a good idea. Firstly humour has come along way since the original was released and the childish plot lines and gags may be lost on the films now much older fans.

We’ll withhold judgement until we see the first trailer or plot details.
